Gibbys Holiday Draw 2023 Contest Rules
Eligibility
This contest is open only to those who sign up at https://gibbyselectronicsupermarket.ca/gibbys-black-friday-2023/ or in store and who are at the age of 18 as of the date of entry. The contest is only open to legal residents of Canada, and is void where prohibited by law. Employees of Gibbys Electronic Supermarket, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, (collectively the “Employees”), and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of Employees are not eligible to participate in the contest. The contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
Agreement to Rules
By participating, the contestant (“You”) agrees to be fully unconditionally bound by these rules, and you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, you agree to accept the decisions of Gibbys Electronic Supermarket as final and binding as it relates to the content of this contest.
Contest Period
Entries will be accepted online and in-store starting November 8, 2023 and ending on December 31, 2023. All online entries must be received by December 31, 2023.
How to Enter
The contest must be entered by signing up to our email list at https://gibbyselectronicsupermarket.ca/gibbys-black-friday-2023/ and you get 1 free entry. If you make a purchase of at least $500 pre-tax on Gibbys Online Store, you will get an extra 3 entries. If you are buying from Gibbys Online Store, we will automatically add the 3 entries for you using your email address and name from your purchase record.
For entries in-store, a contestant gets 1 free entry for visiting our store at 451 Eastchester Ave E, St. Catharines, ON, L2M 6S2. By the purchase of $500 pre-tax, the contestant will have extra 3 entries to enter the contest. The ballots must be filled in properly by the contestants. The entry must fulfill all contest requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Gibbys Electronic Supermarket.
Prizes
Based on the draw results, the three Winner(s) of the contest (the “Winner”) will receive the designated prize as follows: The 1st place Winner will receive a $1000 store credit. The 2nd place Winner will receive a $500 store credit. The 3rd place Winner will receive a $250 store credit. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at Gibbys Electronic Supermarket’s discretion. The prize is non transferable. Furthermore, the obtained credit must be utilized no later than April 1st, 2024. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of Winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by Winner is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Gibbys Electronic Supermarket to use Winner’s name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Winner Selection and Notification
Winner will be selected by draw under the supervision of Gibbys Electronic Supermarket. Winner will be notified by email within seven (7) days following selection of Winner. Gibbys Electronic Supermarket shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within 30 Days from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and release as required, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner will be selected. Receipt by Winner of the prize offered in this contest is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Any violation of these official rules by the winner, will result in disqualification.
Terms & Conditions
Gibbys Electronic Supermarket reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond Gibbys Electronic Supermarket’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the contest. In such a case, Gibbys Electronic Supermarket may select the Winner from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Gibbys Electronic Supermarket. Gibbys Electronic Supermarket reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the contest or website or violates these Terms & Conditions. Gibbys Electronic Supermarket has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the contest, to void votes for any reason, including, but not limited to: multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by contest rules; or the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Gibbys Electronic Supermarket reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Privacy Policy
Information submitted with an entry is subject to the Privacy Policy stated on the Gibbys Electronic Supermarket website. By participating in the contest, You, the Contestant, have affirmatively reviewed, accepted, and agreed to all of the Official Rules & Regulations.
