Streaming Music

Clarion’s M508 digital media receiver lets you stream music from your smartphone or any Bluetooth device to your boat’s sound system. Bluetooth aptX processing (also found in many Android smartphones) restores the sparkle that’s lost during compression, so you’ll enjoy much better sound quality.

Shape your sound your way

Clarion built this rugged marine receiver to last, but it’s also designed to deliver outstanding sound. The 3-band parametric equalizer lets you adjust the highs, mids, and lows to suit your preferences, and you can use the built-in frequency filters and subwoofer controls to get the best possible performance from your system. You’ll find the four sets of preamps handy if you’re adding amplifiers to your sound system.

Dual zone control lets you split the boat into two distinct areas to suit your needs, one zone powered by the radio and the second by an external amp (sold separately). You’ll be able to crank up the bow speakers and leave the cabin speakers at a more conversational level.

Make the most of your music sources

The M508 gives you mastery over your music collection. If you’re a Pandora® Internet radio fan, you can listen to your favorite stations when your iPhone’s connected via USB. Song and artist information shows up clearly on the sharp-looking black-on-white 2-line display.

If you’ve ripped your entire CD collection and gone digital, you can plug a thumb drive into the front USB port and enjoy all your favorite MP3 or WMA tunes, or you can play your digital music player through the handy front AUX input. You can also enjoy the vast array of programming on satelllite radio by connecting a SiriusXM tuner (sold separately, subscription required).

Tune into terrestrial radio

Clarion’s excellent AM/FM tuner hauls in plenty of local radio stations, no matter where in the world “local” might turn out to be. You’ll also be able to get the latest on changing conditions from the Weather Band.

The black-on-white face makes it easy to see what you’re tuned into at the moment, and the controls make changing channels or sources a breeze, even when you’re underway.

Clarion’s XC2110 mono subwoofer amplifier delivers up to 300 watts RMS from a chassis that’s about the size of your hand. This micro-sized amp can fit almost anywhere, even behind many dashboards. MOS-FET Power Amp

There’ s only one way for Clarion’ s main units to deliver unyielding power output and linearity: MOS-FET amplification, or Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor amplification. Smaller and more efficient than conventional power supplies, a MOS-FET amplification circuit delivers power with less distortion and zero On/Off switching noise. These subs offer the big bass response you’re looking for in a marine-rated speaker with RGB lighting to add a little sparkle to your night on the water.

Made for sea and sun

The CMSP-101RGB-2 10″ 2-ohm marine subwoofer is made to kick out the jams while handling the demands of the marine environment. Its injection molded polypropylene cone is UV-protected to stand up to hours baking in the sun, and the Santoprene rubber surround and marine-grade synthetic spider keep the cone under control for tight bass response.

This sub will handle up to 250 watts RMS, and its 2-ohm impedance lets you draw maximum power from your mono sub amplifier. It’s engineered to meet stringent standards for UV exposure and salt fog so you know it’ll hold up in your boat, while waterproof speaker and LED lighting connectors help keep moisture out.

Bring the rainbow

Clarion also packed this sub with color, giving you built-in RGB lighting to let you match the lighting to your music, your mood, or a particularly memorable sunset.  You can select from seven fixed LED colors, or connect a RGB lighting controller (sold separately) for on-the-fly adjustments. (Note: LED lighting requires 12V DC wiring at each speaker location.)

This sub is designed for use in an infinite baffle application, so you can install it in a bulkhead without the need for a dedicated enclosure. Decorative grilles (sold separately) protect your speakers and give you finish options to coordinate with the look of your vessel.

CMSP-101RGB-2 Features

• Marine Use: The speakers are tested to ensure they meet or surpass the ASTM-D4329 standard for UV stability and the ASTM-B117 standard for salt/fog resistance.
• LEDs: There are multi colored LEDs on the back of the bridge across the subwoofer to create a glow on the cone. Depending on what combination of the LED wires is connected, they can light red, green, blue, yellow, pink, light blue, or white. A +12 volt power supply is needed to turn the LEDs on and Clarion recommends the power wire be fused at 250 mA.
• Infinite-Baffle Operation: This sub is optimized for infinite-baffle operation (free air), so it can be installed in a variety of locations, without the need for a dedicated enclosure.
• Terminals: Crimp-on quick slides are included for connecting the audio signal, designed for 14-16 gauge wire. A waterproof harness is included for the four 26 gauge LED wires.
