iDatalink Maestro KIT-FTR1 Factory System Adapter Dash Kit for Ford Trucks with 4.3″ Screen (2015 and up)

You purchased a 2015 and up Ford pickup truck; although it’s a terrific vehicle, the factory radio can’t be upgraded due to the dashboard. In order to install an aftermarket double-DIN (4″ tall) stereo and connect it to your Ford pickup’s 4.3″ My Ford radio, you will need the iDatalink KIT-FTR1 factory system adapter and the Maestro ADS-MRR module, both of which are sold separately. This kit includes a car stereo and keeps the steering wheel audio controls, the amplifier, and the backup camera (if it is equipped).

iDatalink Comes To The Rescue

You can keep your truck’s SYNC capabilities such as hands-free calling and music streaming by installing an iDatalink-compatible car radio made by Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, or Pioneer. You’ll also keep your factory amplifier’s full capability and fader control along with your backseat entertainment system (if present). On the touchscreen of your new car stereo, you can configure gauges to check engine performance and other driving information, including tire pressure, battery voltage, and “door ajar” cautions. When a warning light illuminates, you can check the engine codes and select which gauges you’d like to be shown on the screen.

OEM Dash Kit & Vehicle Harness for Ford F-Series

The OEM integration dash kit and vehicle harness that make up the iDatalink Maestro KIT-FTR1 are specifically made for certain 2015+ Ford F-Series vehicles that have the 4.3-inch “My Ford” factory radio. The Maestro RR or RR2 Car Radio Replacement Interface module (available separately) enables you to swap out the “My Ford” factory radio with an iDatalink Serial Port compliant head unit or another aftermarket head unit utilising the KIT-FTR1.

Note: Purchase of the iDatalink Maestro RR or RR2 (available separately) and download of a vehicle-specific firmware from iDatalink’s Weblink Desktop are prerequisites for the iDatalink Maestro KIT-FTR1 (for Windows and Mac).

OEM Grade Fit & Finish Kit

The KIT-FTR1 OEM integration kit has a factory-grade fit and finish to match the dash’s shape and colour. Additionally, the KIT-FTR1 includes a handy storage pocket for your smartphone. One HDMI port, two flush-mounted USB ports, and an Auxiliary 3.5mm input for your head unit are all included in the storage pocket (if applicable). Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features are supported by both USB ports (with compatible headunit and phone).

Vehicle Harness

The iDatalink Maestro KIT-FTR1 comes with a car harness that hooks into the iDatalink Maestro RR or RR2 interface module (available separately), connects to the factory radio harness in your car, and is hardwired to the harness of your brand-new aftermarket Double-DIN receiver. Two Molex connectors from the installation harness plug into the OEM radio harness of your Ford F150. Four multi-pin connections on the other end of the harness connect to the Maestro RR or RR2 interface module (sold separately). Additionally, a backup camera harness with a composite video connector is available, enabling you to keep the original backup camera that came with your vehicle.

Features That Have Been Retained

When using the Maestro RR or RR2 Car Radio Replacement Interface module and KIT-FTR1 installation kit to swap out your aftermarket head unit with a suitable iDatalink Serial Port head unit from Kenwood, JVC, Alpine, or Pioneer, the following factory functions (if applicable) are kept.
