The Kenwood eXcelon KFC-X683C 6×8″ 2-Way Car Speakers are an impressive audio upgrade for any car audio system. These speakers feature a 2-way design with a 1-3/16″ balanced dome tweeter and a woofer composed of carbon polypropylene. The woofer surround is made of butyl rubber, which provides durability and helps to deliver accurate and powerful bass. The tweeter composition is made of PEI, which helps to produce clear and detailed high-frequency sound. The speakers have a nominal impedance of 3 ohms, a sensitivity rating of 88 dB, and a frequency response of 80 – 21k Hz, making them ideal for delivering a wide range of sound frequencies. With a minimum RMS wattage of 2 and a maximum RMS wattage of 60, and a peak power handling of 180 watts, the KFC-X683C speakers are powerful enough to provide excellent sound quality while being energy-efficient.

The KFC-X683C 6″x8″ full-range speakers feature 1-3/16″ balanced dome tweeters that deliver all the high-frequency details without sounding harsh. Because of their specially designed magnetic circuitry and neodymium magnets, these compact tweeters use less steel in their construction than most tweeters, so you hear more accurate response.

Woofers

The woofer cones are constructed of Carbon-PP (polypropylene) with a diamond array pattern.  The woofers feature butyl rubber surrounds for a smoother response and improved durability.

Tweeters

Each speaker uses a 1-3/16″ PEI balanced-dome tweeter. PEI (Poly-Ether Imide) is a polymer film that has ideal sound characteristics, making it perfect for use as a tweeter. A PEI balanced-dome tweeter produces a wide soundstage for superior imaging.

Custom fit

 The 6×8″ speaker’s frame features two additional mounting holes which allows the speaker to fit in 5×7″ openings of select Ford and Mazda vehicles.
