Kenwood eXcelon KFC-XP184C Series 7″ Component Speaker System
The Kenwood eXcelon KFC-X184C component speaker system features a huge 7″ woofer, packed into a frame that will still fit into the factory openings of many Dodge, GM, and Toyota vehicles (some cars may require slight modifications). A bigger cone moves more air, so your music can have the fullness and punch you miss with most factory speakers. A diamond-array pattern etched into the cone increases its strength for improved dynamic response and lower distortion. The rubber surround resists weathering, providing reliable support that keeps your music playing, no matter what.
The separate 1″ silk dome tweeters deliver all the high-frequency details smoothly, while special-design circuitry and powerful, lightweight magnets make these tweeters extremely accurate without sounding harsh. The Kenwood eXcelon KFC-X184C includes multi-purpose adapter brackets that help the oversized woofers to fit in some Dodge, GM, or Toyota vehicles. Grilles are not included; factory grilles are appropriate for most installations.
Woofers: The woofers are oversized for a fuller sound quality than typical factory speakers. The Carbon/Polypropylene cones and rubber surrounds are durable, designed to withstand the harsh automotive environment.
Custom Brackets: The KFC-XP184C woofer is designed as a factory replacement speaker and includes adapters compatible with many GM, Toyota, and Dodge vehicles (one bracket adapts to a 6×9 opening, the other is a multi-purpose bracket and is scored for trimming to fit several applications).
Tweeter Mounting Options: The tweeters can be flush mounted using the supplied housings and metal retaining-clips. Once installed the tweeters can pivot in the housing, so their angle can be adjusted to obtain a better soundstage. The tweeters can also be top or bottom mounted in a factory tweeter location using the included OEM brackets. The tweeters cannot pivot when installed in the OEM brackets.
