iDatalink Maestro KIT-FOC1 Dash Kit for Ford Focus (2012 – 2018)
You purchased a 2012-2018 Ford Focus. It’s a great vehicle but the factory radio can’t be upgraded due to the dashboard. With the Maestro ADS-MRR module (available separately) and the iDatalink KIT-FOC1 factory system adapter, you have everything you need to install and connect an aftermarket double-DIN (4″ tall) radio to your Focus. This kit keeps your backup camera (if installed) and steering wheel audio controls with any car stereo.
KIT-FOC1 Comes To The Rescue
Install an Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, or Pioneer iDatalink-compatible car radio, and you’ll keep your car’s SYNC capabilities, like hands-free calling and music streaming. Along with your factory amplifier’s full capability, you’ll also keep your rear-seat entertainment system’s fader control (if present). You can set up gauges to check engine performance and other vehicle statistics, such as tire pressure, battery voltage, and “door ajar” warnings, on the touchscreen of your new car stereo. Your climate controls will also be shown on this screen. When a warning light illuminates, you can choose which gauges you’d like to see on the screen and even examine the engine codes.
Compatibility
A vehicle harness and OEM integration dash kit for select 2012–2018 Ford Focus models make up the iDatalink Maestro KIT–FOC1. Utilizing the Maestro RR or RR2 Car Radio Replacement Interface module, the KIT-FOC1 enables you to swap out the factory radio for a head unit compatible with the iDatalink Serial Port (sold separately).
OEM Grade Fit & Finish Kit:
The KIT-FOC1 OEM integration kit has a factory-grade fit and finish to match the dash’s shape and colour. Additionally, the KIT-FOC1 includes a handy storage pocket for your smartphone. One HDMI port, two flush-mounted USB ports and a 3.5mm AV input for an aftermarket receiver are all included in the storage pocket (if applicable).
Vehicle Harness
The iDatalink Maestro KIT-FOC1 comes with a vehicle harness that hooks into the factory radio harness of your car and is hardwired to the harness of your new aftermarket receiver. The vehicle harness links into the iDatalink Maestro RR or RR2 interface module (available separately). Three Molex connections from the installation harness plug into the OEM radio harness on your Ford Focus. Four multi-pin connections on the other end of the harness connect to the Maestro RR or RR2 interface module (sold separately). Instead of speaker wire leads, the wiring harness has front and rear RCA jacks that may either plug into the 4-channel preouts on your aftermarket receiver or need to be disconnected from to wire to the receiver’s harness. When you plug in your aftermarket receiver’s camera input and Aux input, you may still use your vehicle’s factory backup camera (if fitted) and Aux input (if provided) because the wiring harness still has a composite video connector and stereo RCA jacks.
