The Klipsch CDT-3650-C II maintains the core technology use of a rigid 1” Aluminum compression driver mated to an Tractrix® Horn combined with a 6.5” IMG woofer in a 2-way design. With a new low-profile, elegant grille and refinements to both high
frequency and low frequency reproduction, it continues as a high-performance choice for everything from 2-channel music playback to full, large room surround sound.

With an all new grille, the visible frame size is reduced by 90% and grill depth is reduced by 80% over the CDT-3650-C design, for a more edge-to edge consistent look that blends in with the wall more seamlessly. The new aluminum, paintable, magnetic grille attaches tightly and securely with ease to eliminate distortion.

Klipsch horn-loaded technology increases acoustic output while reducing distortion. Proprietary Controlled Dispersion Technology allows for both the symmetrical, 100° Tractrix Horn compression driver and woofer to be independently aimed
toward the desired listening area. The tweeter swivels while the woofer rotates 360° and pivots 15° in any direction. The precisely controlled dispersion of the horn-loaded tweeter assures that high frequencies are more effectively directed towards the listening area than typical amiable, broad dispersion, standard dome tweeters. This, combined with the woofer’s ability to direct more narrowly dispersed midbass frequencies, yields overall sound with more lifelike impact, greater detail and better vocal sound clarity.

Combined with the Tractrix Horn, the one-inch stiff, yet lightweight, metallic diaphragm works in conjunction with a precise phasing plug at the horn throat to create a very efficient driver with excellent transient response and lack of distortion. The new Linear Travel Suspension assures the most precise diaphragm excursion, increasing high-frequency detail and smoothness.

Provides even pressure on drywall for long-term installation reliability. Equipped with Treble attenuation switch which reduces high frequency output.

Mud Ring Breakaway

This revolutionary kit design incorporates a mud ring breakaway wire tie and color-coded brackets for easy speaker size identification. A flat side with a raised wall allows it to be mounted directly to a joist making it much easier to align the speakers with other items in the ceiling.

Perforated Metal Wings

The kit also comes with perforated metal wings that easily fasten to the studs via screws staples or nails. Ribbed for increased rigidity these wings enable a kit to span up to 24 inches easily. Painted white for easy marking and placement these metal wings will fold around the edge of the studs if necessary.
