Supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X Playback
Object-based soundtracks allow independently mixed sound to play through any speaker in your system. Effects move all around as they do in real life, so you experience 7.2.2- or 5.2.4-channel Dolby Atmos or DTS:X formats as the director intended. DTS Neural:X is designed to identify spatial effects in multichannel soundtracks and upmix them for 3D playback, while DTS:X offers independent dialogue volume control for movies. Dolby Surround is also included to upmix legacy multichannel formats for playback in a Dolby Atmos-enabled environment.
Dolby Surround and DTS Neural:X Upmixing
Pioneer Elite VSX-LX504 4 can upmix other audio codecs using Dolby Surround or DTS Neural:X to simulate 3D surround sound.
Apple AirPlay 2
Apple AirPlay 2 lets you stream audio to compatible speakers throughout your house using any compatible Apple device or by asking Siri, keeping it all in sync.
Supports 4K HDR, BT.2020, 4K/60 Hz, and HDCP 2.2
All of the HDMI ports pass 4K (60p, 4:4:4, 24-bit) video in HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision formats through to compatible displays. They also support the 3D, Deep Color (36-bit), x.v.Color, BT.2020, and HDCP 2.2, which allows for copy protection compatibility. One output is eARC-compatible.
Advanced MCACC Audio Calibration
Advanced MCACC is designed to adjust the sound according to the listening room and speakers, and helps create clearer sound by suppressing the standing waves that occur between walls or ceiling and floor. Measurements of up to nine positions can be saved, allowing you to sit where you like and enjoy augmented audio. Auto Phase Control Plus makes real time analysis of the phase difference and automatically compensates the gap between the LFE and main signals to help provide strong bass and clear highs.
Powered Zone 2/3
With the powered feature, the receiver can directly drive speakers in up to two other rooms without an additional amplifier. Additionally, the dedicated DAC for Zone 2 lets you listen to all your digital audio sources.
Zone B Line-Out
The Zone B line-out lets you connect a component with an analog RCA line input to audio sources connected to the receiver. Share sound to a nearby space, or connect a supported transmitter for your wireless headphones to enjoy your media without disturbing those around you.
Chromecast built-in lets you use your compatible mobile device to stream your favorite audio to the receiver. You can control the audio from anywhere within Wi-Fi range using Chromecast-enabled apps running on your device. The receiver also works with the Google Assistant, so you can tell it to adjust the volume, skip tracks, or stop the music using your Google Assistant-enabled device.
