In a 15 % slimmer design than the previous model, the VSX-834 is full of easy-to-use features, including the 4K indicator, and Personal Preset and Bluetooth^® Input buttons on the front panel. In addition to offering immersive sound with Dolby Atmos^® and DTS:X audio formats, the AV receiver can also decode Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer* and DTS Virtual:X, letting you experience similar virtual surround effects without using height or surround speakers. Elaborate Chassis Technology

The heart of the fabulous high-frequency reproduction is our new hi-res module with two, yes two fmax tweeters. A 1.2” dome with a particularly wide bead allows it to operate with a low crossover frequency and therefore connect perfectly to the mid-range unit. The additional ¾” super dome tweeter on the ST505M is the basis for extended frequency response to beyond 50 kHz. It also displays excellent all-round dispersion characteristics. In this combination, the module is certified with the Hi-Res Seal by the Japan Audio Society.

The FE Dynamics woofers and subwoofers have specially coated diaphragms that are checked for interference resonance and optimized using laser technology, the so-called Klippel method. A ventilated voice coil unit, the speaker drive, guarantees optimum cooling and, therefore, maximum resilience – even when things really get going.

Exceptional Production Quality

The solid MDF housing on the ST505M is low resonance, providing the best sound conditions for the chassis. The baffle of the Signature 500 is coated with high-gloss black piano lacquer in the black ash models, with the mocha finish complemented by a silk-matt anthracite front panel. Sturdy decorative rings held by six screws not only perfect the look, but also the seating of the speakers. The removable fabric cover allows the choice between a very subtle look and one revealing the technology. The crossover, made of high-quality components, operates with 24 dB cut filters, is amplitude and phase-corrected and therefore enables precise control of the individual chassis. Amply dimensioned terminals not only allow use of the highest-quality cables, they also facilitate bi-wiring and bi-amping, i.e. the use of different cables or amplifiers for bass and treble ranges. How much attention to detail has been invested in the design of the Signature 500 is also demonstrated by the use of the Airflex port with a rounded reflex opening, which minimizes flow noise.

The ST505M Signature 500 is available in various versions. This means that fans of pure stereo playback can combine different setups, while home cinema enthusiasts can also choose the perfect combination. Magnat ARS12 Alpha RS 12 12″ Powered Front Firing Subwoofer – Black

The Magnat ARS12 Alpha RS 12 features a 300 mm (12 inch) high-power long-throw woofer in a bass reflex housing that is equipped with two Airflex ports. The integrated Class D amplifier delivers 120 watts of continuous power, while the peak power is an impressive 240 watts. The technology incorporated in the RS12 allows it to reproduce frequencies down to 20 Hz. The amplifier electronics allow the volume, crossover frequency and phase to be regulated, thereby enabling optimal adaptation to the acoustics of the room.

The solid MDF housing is optionally available in a black ash or mocha finish. The ARS12 measures 360 mm wide and stands 465 mm tall. The standard fabric grille can be easily removed to reveal the impressive bass chassis. Magnat’s Alpha RS12 active subwoofer is an ideal addition to any home cinema or hi-fi system.
