Rockford Fosgate’s Constant Power technology allows the Power Series amplifiers to actively monitor the performance of their speakers. The impedance of a speaker varies naturally as it performs. Constant Power maintains this amp’s output by boosting its internal voltage and current when the speaker’s impedance rises, similar to how cruise control increases the engine’s RPM to keep your car’s speed uphill. This increases the amp’s total power output by up to 25%, which is especially important below 50 Hz, where a sub amp must really shine.
