Rockford Fosgate T1D412 Power 12" T1 4-Ohm DVC Subwoofer
Rockford Fosgate designed Power Series subs deliver crowd-drawing bass for ultimate high-power, high-volume bass. The Rockford Fosgate T1D412 12" subwoofer has a responsive paper cone reinforced with the same Kevlar® fibers found in bulletproof vests. The entire cone is covered and protected by a hard-anodized aluminum dust cap that displays the glossy Rockford Fosgate emblem. What's the result? From a nearly unbreakable cone, you get traditional warm bass.
More bass equals more cone area.
The Rockford Fosgate T1D412 enlarged rubber surround is attached to the cone using Rockford Fosgate's patented VAST process, which increases usable cone area by 25%, allowing this sub to push more air for even more bass.
Extensive journey
An extended pole piece and bumped backplate give the sub a sturdy base for intense cone excursion, while a longer pole piece and bumped backplate allow it to hit deeper lows without "bottoming out." The aluminum voice coils are kept cool by special ventilation in the frame, resulting in consistent bass performance throughout time.
Impedance selection with fuse protection
Power Series subs are equipped with Rockford Fosgate's innovative SWIFTTM terminals, which allow you to design exactly the system you want – high-power or multi-sub — without having to deal with intricate wiring. To choose between 1 and 4 ohms, simply rotate the impedance selection jumper. This impedance selector makes it easier to reconfigure your system if you decide to add another sub later. The jumper is additionally fused to prevent inadvertent overloading of your sub. You may use these subs in either a sealed or ported enclosure, so you can get the bass you want for your system.
Dual 4 Voice Coils
The Rockford Fosgate T1D412 subwoofer has dual 4 voice coils with a jumper to connect them in series or parallel, presenting a 2 or 8 load; the voice coils cannot be wired independently.
SWIFT Terminal (Selectable Woofer Impedance Fused Termination)
Rockford's proprietary SWIFT Terminal (Selectable Woofer Impedance Fused Termination) offers a simple and convenient method of setting the impedance presented by the dual voice coil subwoofer. The impedance jumper also provides fused protection from severe overload conditions. With the jumper in the 2? position the voice coils are wired in parallel; with the jumper in the 8? position the voice coils are wired in series.
