Processing and Delivery

All products are shipped in their original manufacturers cartons with appropriate packaging and are able to be shipped anywhere without concern for damage of the product due to shipping.

We do not offer unboxing and set up for online orders.

Due to the high value of all of our products we will be shipping all packages with a status of “Signature Required”. Please have government issued ID with proof of age of majority available if required. Someone must be home to accept and sign for all our shipments due to the value of the products for your safety and ours. The delivery will be confirmed and recorded by various technologies which may include full tracking of time, date, and location. This practice helps to protect you, the buyer, and us, the seller, as it will verify the delivery and receipt of the product at that address. A concierge may accept the delivery at your address on your behalf but you are fully responsible for that concierge getting the product to you . A signed delivery by your concierge constitutes delivery of your package to your address.

Please ensure that you provide a buzzer code for your address if applicable.

If there is no one at the destination address the delivery company will leave a notice and make 2 more attempts on subsequent days. If there is no one available to accept the delivery please call us at 866-433-4765 to be able to arrange the delivery company to deliver to a depot to be picked up by the person named on the order with identification matching the same. You are welcome to contact us prior to placing your order to discuss your delivery if you know ahead of time that these arrangements will not work for you.

Due to the high value of the items we sell, we do NOT leave any packages at the door or elsewhere. All deliveries must be received as "signature" by a person over the age of 18 years. We also do not allow our shippers to redirect any packages to a different address. All products must be delivered to the exact address shown on the approved order.

We can deliver small packages to a PO Box in certain situations based on size restrictions of Canada Post, The product must be received as “Signature" details as listed above.

Please track your shipment so you are aware of delivery timeline. We use Fed Ex for all small deliveries and Canada post in remote locations where Fed Ex does not get to and "hands off " to Canada Post for the last part of the shipment. Large items and most large TVs are Shipped with Day and Ross - under the name of "Same day Shipping"


Shipping Damage

If there is any evidence of external damage, please refuse the delivery first, then call Gibbys toll free at 1-866-696-7189. Once verified by Gibbys service department, they will mark on the bill of lading that it was refused due to shipping damage. Any shortage or damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery by calling 1-866-696-7189 and emailing us at support@gibbysesm.ca. No claims for internal damage will be accepted after 48 hours of receiving the package. IF ANY internal damage is found within 48 hours of receiving your product, please contact Gibbys Electronic Supermarket and we will issue an RA# (return authorization number). We will arrange to have the product picked up and a replacement unit sent to you at our expense. All items considered for replacement must be returned in original packaging, complete with all materials and accessories.


Shipping Cost & Delivery Times

Products are shipped as soon as the orders have been processed and the inventory is available. Orders may ship via a number of couriers based on size, amount of delivery persons required and geographic location. Should there be any adjustments or errors in the calculation of the shipping fee, we kindly ask our customers to cover the discrepancy. To enhance customer service and to ensure your package is being delivered safely and confirmed to your address:

At this time, we will be shipping with a status of “Adult Signature Required” on all of our shipments. This means that the delivery company will require the receiver at the destination address to show a Government-Issued ID with Proof of Age of 18 years or older. The receiver will not need to physically sign for the delivery after showing the ID. This practice helps to protect you, the buyer, and us, the seller as it will verify the delivery and receipt of the product.

Due to the value of the items we ship, we do NOT leave any packages at the door or elsewhere. All deliveries must be recorded as received by a person over the age of 18 years as described above. We also cannot redirect any packages to a different address. All products must be delivered to the exact address shown on the purchase order.

Please note that for security reasons, we will only ship to the verified address of the credit card and or the PayPal account holder for each transaction and is processed through our online payment system. If you wish to change the shipping address, a new transaction would have to be completed and the original transaction canceled. Once your order has been approved, it is sent to our warehouse for shipment. The product is shipped as soon as the order is processed and the inventory is available. For current product inventory and availability, please call the store directly at 1-866-696-7189. If a product is out of stock in our warehouse, we may be unable to obtain a precise date of availability from the manufacturer. However, we try our best to confirm availability dates and communicate that to you as soon as possible.

Shipping charges are an estimate only during the checkout process. This is due to the extreme cost of shipping within Canada and the inability to accurately estimate every postal code online and every size of every item within Canada. Therefore, we offer an estimate for shipping to most major cities within Canada. (With the majority of postal code exceptions listed below) If the charges total more than the shipping estimate*, we will contact you to approve these additional shipping charges. What if I live in the Far North or a very isolated area?

For some shipping addresses located in the three territories of Canada or in isolated rural areas, the actual shipping charge on larger items such as televisions, stands or large speakers may exceed those that are calculated at the time you place your order and as indicated as a shipping estimate*. Once we receive your order, we will get an exact quote for shipping and notify you of any extra charges prior to shipping your order if applicable.

Free Shipping

In the case where free shipping is indicated or shipping is indicated as $0.00, it means the shipping cost is covered by Gibbys and included in the price up to a maximum of 7% of the value of the product. If the actual shipping cost is more than 7 % of the value of the product, we will get an exact quote for shipping and notify you of any extra charges prior to shipping your order. If you do not approve the additional cost, we will cancel the order for you and release any amounts on hold on your credit card. Orders listed online with or as “Free Shipping” will be charged for the original freight at whatever the cost of the freight incurred came out to. That amount will be a separate line on your invoice but included in the total price where indicated with free shipping or shipping indicated as $0.00
