Thanks to Sony’s virtual-surround technology, the soundbar can position sound in vertical space—so you can experience 3D audio without the need for in-ceiling or up-firing speakers. As well as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, Vertical Surround Engine lends a more realistic, multidimensional sound to other formats too.

Centre speaker for clear dialogue

A dedicated centre speaker (1) ensures that voice sounds can be clearly heard, whether it’s quick-fire dialogue in your favourite TV show or whispered lines in a movie. It’s great for music too, ensuring a richly detailed listening experience.

Built-in dual subwoofer for deep bass sound

The Sony HT-A3000 soundbar has a powerful built-in dual subwoofer (2) in the centre—so you can enjoy deep bass sound with minimal equipment cluttering up your living space.

X-Balanced Speaker Unit

The built-in dual subwoofer and front speakers feature an X-Balanced Speaker Unit. The unique rectangular shape of these speakers maximizes the diaphragm area for more punchy bass. It also reduces driver excursion while maintaining sound pressure, resulting in less distortion and greater vocal clarity.

Clearer voice

The deeper the bass sound, the more the speaker diaphragm moves. This can cause an effect called phase modulation distortion when a full-range diaphragm needs to simultaneously reproduce higher frequencies. Sony’s unique signal processing technology compensates for this effect for clearer dialogue and more localized sound. The improvements in the modulated waveform enhance clarity and help prevent vocal distortion.

Extended bass

It takes a lot of power to accurately reproduce low bass frequencies and there’s often a risk of distortion (A). To combat this, the soundbar uses Sony’s unique signal processing technology to deliver dynamic extended bass, at any volume level (B).

Upscale your digital music in real time

Using Edge-AI (Artificial Intelligence), DSEE Extreme™ (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) upscales compressed digital music files in real time. Dynamically recognizing instrumentation, musical genres and individual elements of each song, such as vocals or interludes, it restores the high-range sound lost in compression for a richer, more complete listening experience.

Get a fuller, richer sound with a wireless subwoofer and rear speakers

An optional wireless subwoofer allows a built-in dual subwoofer in the Sony HT-A3000 soundbar to handle bass and vocals with the optional wireless subwoofer focusing on low-range sound. For even more cinematic thrills with sound directly behind you, add our optional wireless rear speakers.

Even more immersion with BRAVIA Acoustic Center Sync

When connected to a BRAVIA TV with Acoustic Centre Sync, both the soundbar and the TV become the centre speaker in your home cinema system. Furthermore, connecting the soundbar with optional wireless rear speakers, the TV speaker plays the centre channel role with your soundbar as part of the 360 Spatial Sound Mapping setup. This enables sound to precisely match what’s on the screen for clearer dialogue and a more immersive experience.

With Acoustic Centre Sync, you’ll hear dialogue from exactly where the character is standing in the scene. Action and sound are precisely aligned so your viewing becomes much more immersive.

With built-in support for Spotify Connect™ and other music services via Bluetooth®, Chromecast or Apple AirPlay 2, you can easily enjoy your favourite music with the whole family.

Voice control

The soundbar is compatible with Google Assistant enabled devices with Chromecast built-in™ and Amazon Alexa enabled devices. Just add the HT-A3000 soundbar to your speaker group using the Google Home app to start playing music, change the volume or many other functions using just your voice.

For immersive movies, press the Sound Field button on your remote and enjoy atmospheric sound that puts you right at the heart of the action. Or turn Sound Field off for pure speaker sound when listening to stereo music.
