The KDCX800 has four supported modes of use, making it quite versatile:

Mode 1: Enterprise AV over IP system control gateway

• The KDCX800 allows more third-party control possibilities than comparable HD Over IP systems
• Accepts orders from Compass Control® or other third-party control system
• KDCX800 supports standard IR Key, TCP/IP, and RS-232 command strings for digital matrix switching

Mode 2: Compass Control® Master Controller

• KDCX800 allows for communication with and from authorised iOS and Android devices
• Compass Navigator™ program's flexible port configuration (IR, RS-232, trigger and sensor)
• Built-in IR learner/sensor
• Up to two real-time bi-directional RS-232 ports are supported
• No ports are used for TCP/IP device control when using an iOS or Android controller

Mode 3: Third-Party Control via KeyCode Open API

• Control expansion with cutting-edge third-party control solutions that is affordable
• KDCX800 enhances network-based control programmes with a dependable hardware interface
• Enables device control through IR, RS-232 and voltage
• A robust API enables two-way communication

Mode 4: Control Extension via IP

• Carry any authorized IR, RS-232, and voltage trigger combination over the network
• KDCX800 extends control signals up to 121 metres (400 feet) away. With adapters, greater distances are achievable
• Supports both network switches and non-network systems
• Key Digital® app support for control systems: Compass Control® Pro and Key Digital Management Software™ Pro (KDMSTM Pro) ready. Fully controllable via open API by all TCP/IP capable control systems
