Onkyo TX-8260 has two coaxial, two optical, six RCA, and a phono input for connecting a variety of audio sources. There are two USB ports for interfacing additional sources such as mass-storage devices. The Onkyo Controller app allows you to control your receiver from a compatible smartphone or tablet.

DTS Play-Fi Multi-Room Audio, Available via Future Firmware Update

DTS Play-Fi technology lets you stream from linked online services, media servers, or device libraries over Wi-Fi to any number of compatible products via the Onkyo Music Control app for iOS and Android devices. DTS Play-Fi connects systems for synchronized music in every room with a compatible speaker or system, and can stream different music to different rooms from the same device. DTS Play-Fi is scheduled to be made available via a future firmware update.

Onkyo Controller App for Smartphones and Tablets

The Onkyo TX-8260 Controller app supports receiver and multi-room control; the selection and distribution of on-demand streaming services, radio selection, USB disk browsing, and more are available from one interface on your compatible iOS or Android device.

FireConnect Wireless Multi-Room Audio

FireConnect is designed to mirror network audio and external analog sources connected to a master component on FireConnect-compatible speakers in other rooms. The PD301XB CD player/FM tuner is a musical gateway that enables FM radio listening, CD playing, and USB playback from a single component A versatile digital media gateway for your current desk-top audio system, the Reference 301 PD301XB is a hybrid device that includes a CD player, USB memory player, and FM tuner. The devices' painstakingly created circuit design allows it to provide your amplifier with excellent analogue audio sound and the coaxial and optical outputs can send digital audio signals to your preferred DAC (digital to analogue converter) from sources like CDs, USB memory sticks, and FM tuners. The PD301XB significantly increases the adaptability of your desktop audio system because of its low-profile and compact design.
