HCP 5MDCh: 5 - 3 | 1500 W HCP 5MD marine amplifier feature a compact design ready to face the open water environment, providing tons of clean power. The heat sink has been crafted from extruded aluminum, a material unmatched for lightness, robustness and heat dissipation. To keep size to a minimum, the power transistors are placed between the PCB and the top side of the heat sink where heat is gathered. Built up heat is then directed to the special dissipation “wings” along the side of the amplifier.

Both Pre-In and Speaker-In inputs feature a special balanced circuitry, ensuring high rejection against electro-magnetic interferences for noise-free results. The HCP M amplifiers crossover section ensure extreme flexibility: fully adjustable Lo-pass, Hi-pass filters with 12 dB/Oct. and 24 dB/Oct. slopes according to the amplifier model; Bass Boost is also available to enhance low frequencies.

More specifically HCP 5MD is suitable for a five channels system with subwoofer, a tree channel front + sub system using the front and rear built-in filters that also include a bass boost circuit and a subsonic filter.

HCP 5MD Features:

3. Power supply featuring multiple winding transformer, Low-ESR 105 degree C capacitors, D-class 2 Ohm stable output stage.
4. Versatile front and rear filters, providing the ability to build Hi-Pass front + rear or multichannel woofer + tweeter systems, both including sub.
5. 24 dB continuous adjustable (50 Hz to 500Hz) Lo-Pass subwoofer filter.
6. SUBSONIC filter (24 dB - 25 Hz), removes very low subsonic frequencies from music signal to avoid damage to the subwoofer.
7. 5 ch/3 ch operation mode (selectable), to create a five-channel system (with sub), or a powerful sub+front three-channel system.
8. Bass Boost adjustable via selector, for more punch from speakers.
9. Special balanced input circuitry to reject electro-magnetic disturbances.
10. Hi-Level and Lo-Level inputs to be compatible with any source
11. Short-circuit and thermal protections with auto resetting
12. Optional Remote Volume Control (HRC): providing the ability to adjust subwoofer volume level from the dashboard

D-CLASS Output Stage

Corrosion Protection

Electronics components corrosion caused by exposure in wet environments is totally neutralized by the use of dedicated marine grade (epoxy coated) PCB boards.

Salt Fog Tested

To satisfy the standards required by ASTM-B117, Hertz Marine products are tested with massive salt fog spray to ensure a complete resistance to corrosion, typical of this atmospheric agent.

Water Jet Tested

The protection grade IP64 define all the Hertz Marine products as totally protected against water jets of different entities, making them highly performant in the marine environment.
