Any TOA mixer that accepts a 900 series module can use the WTU-M9800 tuner. Each module is a UHF diversity receiver with 16 frequencies chosen by the user. Without the need of an external power supply, up to two modules can be employed in a frame. All 5000 series microphones and belt packs are compatible with the WTU-M9800, allowing for a wide range of M band transmitters. Two whip antennas are equipped with standard BNC connectors. The usage of TOA's YW-4500 Q powered remote antennas is enabled by phantom power on the antenna inputs. The double super heterodyne diversity tuner is controlled by a PLL synthesizer. Use with any hand-held or belt-pack transmitter from the 5000 series and use up to two tuners without an additional power supply in the 900 or 9000 series. Up to 16 channels are available. Install expenses, rack space, and shelf space are cut in half. The BNC connectors are for local antennas or antennas that are mounted remotely.
