Disc Compatibility

Both Audio CDs and CD-R/CD-RW discs (12cm/8cm) can be played on the Onkyo C-7030 single-disc CD player. Additionally, ISO9660 Level 2 CD-R/RW discs created with MP3 (32-320 kbps; 32/44.1/48 kHz) and WMA (32-192 kbps; 32/44.1/48 kHz) files can be played back. Per MP3/WMA disc, the CD player can identify up to 499 files and 99 folders.

VLSC (Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry)

Typical digital-to-analog conversion methods cannot completely remove noise. This noise contaminates the analogue signal, which ultimately degrades the sound emanating from your speakers. Onkyo's VLSC, on the other hand, continuously samples data between two discrete points (using a signal comparison generator) and, in order to create a smooth output waveform, connects the difference with analogue vectors in real time. Wolfson 24-bit/192kHz DAC

The upgraded Wolfson digital-to-analog converter in the C-7030 improves audio quality. This DAC performs complex 24-bit signal processing, supports sampling speeds of up to 192 kHz, and demonstrates great clock jitter tolerance. Thanks to its state-of-the-art internal DAC, the C-7030 flawlessly converts digital information into analogue audio output.

Precision Clock (+/-10ppm)

The C-7030's accurate clocking system controls and synchronizes all digital signal processing (like how a conductor directs and coordinates the individual instruments of an orchestra). The C-7030 uses contemporary crystal oscillators to generate a frequency variation that is just 10 ppm, significantly less than that of a conventional oscillator.

Front-Panel LCD

The Onkyo C-7030's front-panel LCD can display the following disc-related data: time left, file or folder name, song title, artist name, album name, sampling rate, and bit rate. The brightness of the display can be adjusted between Normal, Dim, and Dimmer.

Remote Control

The Onkyo C-7030 single-disc CD player comes with an IR remote control that allows remote operation. Some basic playback controls are also located on the player's front panel.

Direct Track Access

Direct access to a track or file on a disc can be achieved by using the numeric keypad on the remote control (0-9, >10).

File/Folder Mode

While MP3/WMA is being played back, you have the option of searching for files (songs) on a disc or in a folder.

25-Track Memory Playback

Per disc, you can make a playlist with up to 25 music or files.

Random Playback

All of the files on a disc are played back in random order when the Random playback mode is selected.

Repeat Playback

In the Repeat playback mode, you can repeatedly play a single track or file, a complete disc, a playlist, a combination of memory playback and random playback, or all of the tracks on a disc in random order.

Auto Standby Function

The power will automatically shut off and the CD player will go into standby mode if it is not used for about 30 minutes.

Analog Audio Output

A pair of stereo RCA analogue audio outputs are built into the Onkyo C-7030 single-disc CD player so you can connect it to your home receiver.

Digital Audio Outputs

Two digital audio outputs—one optical (Toslink) and one coaxial—are available on the Onkyo C-7030 (RCA). The player supports 16-bit/44.1kHz PCM on its digital outputs (2ch).

1/4" Headphone Jack

With a front-panel 1/4" port, the Onkyo CD Player has a built-in headphone amplifier "independent volume control and a headphone jack. Headphones being connected to the front-panel 1/4 "The audio outputs of the player are not muted by jack (you will need to turn down the volume on your receiver).

RI (Remote Interactive) Terminal

Two RI inputs (3.5mm) are provided by the C-7030 and can be used to connect additional Onkyo components that are RI-compatible. With RI (Remote Interactive), you may use a single remote control to operate the C-7030 and your other Onkyo AV components that are RI compatible.

Direct Change

When you begin playback on the C-7030 CD player, the Onkyo receiver will automatically choose the C-7030 as the input source if the C-7030 is connected to a RI-compatible Onkyo receiver.
