the IMAGINE C-LCR, PSB is excited to announce the launch of the next generation of our popular in-ceiling speakers. Upgrades include new frameless, white paintable magnetic grilles with small micro perforations for a near invisible design, while driver cones visually match with all other Custom Sound models, making for easy mixing and matching, as needed. IMAGINE C-LCR offers exceptional flexibility as premium two-channel zone speakers or as part or all of an immersive surround sound speaker system. The speakers use a very robust steel and heavy-duty nylon dog leg connection system. Thus, making speaker installation simple and efficient while providing excellent coupling to the ceiling or wall. Both models are designed for new construction or retrofit applications.

For numerous installations as a component of a concealed surround-sound system, the Custom Sound C-LCR is an optimal speaker. With the ability to produce distinct, realistic vocals and instruments without any roughness, this in-ceiling speaker delivers audio quality similar to that of a high-end stand-mount monitor. The C-LCR is equipped with an angled baffle that directs sound downwards and towards the listening position, creating the impression that the audio in movie soundtracks is emanating from the action on the screen, rather than several feet above it.

Engineered for Clarity

Featuring a two-way design for in-ceiling installation, this product comes with two 5¼” (133mm) woofers that utilize clay/ceramic reinforced polypropylene cones alongside a 1? (25mm) titanium dome, ferrofluid-cooled tweeter. These woofers and tweeter are sourced from the PSB Imagine Series of standalone speakers, ensuring that you can anticipate an immersive musical experience that is both clear and believable.

Real Sound for Real Homes

The C-LCR drivers are placed on an angled baffle inside a relatively deep enclosure to achieve an organic, resonance-free sound. This setup permits the adequate dispersion necessary for generating a three-dimensional soundstage when installed in the ceiling. Additionally, since the C-LCR drivers are shared with the Imagine Series of freestanding models, they blend flawlessly with the Custom Sound Series if you opt to use a combination of in-ceiling and freestanding speakers in your sound system.

At a depth of 7¾” (196mm), the C-LCR cabinet capitalizes on the extra ceiling space present in most homes, resulting in an ideal internal volume of 0.36 cubic feet (10.24L). The speaker's front frame is accompanied by white magnetic grilles that effortlessly conceal the entire unit from view. Cable tracks are included on the speaker cabinet for efficient and tidy wire management. Furthermore, as with all PSB products, these speakers are renowned for their musicality, blending seamlessly into any setting.
