The Rockford Fosgate M2-TS 1" tweeter kit increases the system's overall sonic performance by adding to your existing M2 Color Optix™ full-range speakers. The tweeter is protected with a stainless-steel mesh grille and can be installed using a flush or horn mount bezel. The Element Ready™ design and IPX6 certification make them purpose-built for marine or motorsport applications where protection from damaging UV rays and water spray is essential. The M2-TS add-on tweeters do not incorporate built-in LEDs but are designed to work with M2 Color Optix™ speakers that do.

The Rockford Fosgate M2-TS allows the addition of component tweeters to any new or existing system. The Element Ready™ design is accomplished through the IPX6-rated front and grill and IPX5 frame. The UV Stable ASA plastic frame & grille design stand up to harsh marine environments, and the gold-plated marine-grade brass connection terminals provide a corrosion-resistant, maintenance-free connection. The crossover is a fully sealed external passive 18dB/octave Audiophile Grade high pass crossover utilizing metalized polyester film capacitors selected for their dependability, long life span, and preferred electrical characteristics. The kit includes a back-mount flush kit and a white horn-loaded mount bezel.

You'll also get a concealed built-in 18dB/oct crossover to filter out those unwanted frequencies and give you nothing but the crystal-clear sound you've been looking for.

Features

Marine Use: The Tweeters are tested to ensure they meet or surpass the ASTM-G154 standard for UV stability, the ASTM-B117 standard for salt/fog resistance, the ISO60068-2-64 standard for vibration, and the IPX6 water intrusion rating.

Klippel Verified: The Klippel distortion analyzer, a device that uses a laser and sophisticated software to do large-scale analysis of drivers in motion, lets Rockford Fosgate optimize the tweeter's motor structure, voice coil alignment, and suspension to yield the best possible performance.

Mounting: The 1" aluminum dome tweeters have two mounting configurations, both flush-mounted. The dual clamp flush mount system provides concentric clamping pressure around the perimeter of the opening. The larger flange allows horn loading of the tweeters. Crossovers: The system includes two passive, high-pass crossover networks. The slope is 18 dB/octave and the crossover point is 3000 Hz. Each crossover's output is terminated with a plug that mates with the plug in the tweeter. The 47" input wires are not terminated (bare wire).
