iDatalink Maestro KIT-HD2 Radio Replacement Dash Kit for Harley Davidson Motorcycles (2014 and up)
You can install a replacement double-DIN (4") radio in a few 2014–20 Harley-Davidson motorbikes by using the iDatalink Maestro KIT-HD2 in conjunction with the ADS-MRR or ADS–MRR2 interface module (sold separately). You will keep your factory amplifier (if present) and its features as well as your handlebar audio controls if you're installing a radio with an iDatalink connector. You will also keep the factory USB port. You can also combine an aftermarket front camera with the kit and the radio's screen will display gauges showing specific car data. You will only keep your handlebar controls if you install a car audio without an iDatalink port. The kit comes with a waterproof container to keep the module dry and safe, a radio bezel, metal mounting brackets and a USB adaptor to extend the aftermarket USB connection. The 2014–20 Electra Glide, Road Glide, Street Glide, TRI Glide, and Ultra Limited versions are compatible with this kit.
Installation Kit For The Radio On Harley Davidson Motorcycles
The OEM integration dash kit and vehicle harness that make up the iDatalink Maestro KIT-HD2 are made exclusively for a few Harley Davidson motorcycles from 2014 and onward. The KIT-HD2 enables you to swap out the factory radio of your Harley Davidson for an aftermarket head unit that is compatible with an iDatalink Serial Port, another aftermarket head unit, or both using a Maestro RR or RR2 Car Radio Replacement Interface module (click here for a list of fully compatible aftermarket head units with an iDatalink Serial Port) (sold separately). Note: The iDatalink Maestro RR or RR2 must be purchased in order to use the HRN-RR-HD2 installation harness (sold separately).
Flashing Module Via Weblink Desktop
Before installation, the relevant firmware must be loaded onto the iDatalink Maestro RR or RR2. Using the provided USB connector, you can "flash" the Maestro RR with the necessary firmware to get it ready for installation. To access the necessary firmware, just download Weblink Desktop (for Windows and Mac) onto your computer. The system requirements are:
- Windows PC (10/8.1/8/7/Vista/XP/2000) or Mac OS X (Mojave [10.14], HighSierra [10.13], Sierra [10.12], El-Capitan [10.11])
- Available USB port (version 2.0 or 3.0)
- 4GB RAM or more
- 200MB available space on HDD
- Internet connection
OEM Grade Fit & Finish Kit
The factory-grade fit and finish of the KIT-HD2 OEM integration kit is designed to match the shape and colour of the dash on your motorcycle.
Features That Have Been Retained
When your factory radio is replaced with an iDatalink Serial Port head unit from Kenwood, JVC, Alpine, Sony, or Pioneer utilising the Maestro RR or RR2 Radio Replacement Interface module and HRN-RR-HD2 installation harness, the following factory features (if applicable) are kept:
- Turn-On, Speed Compensated Volume (Premium Audio Systems), and Digital Fader for Factory Amplifier (Premium Audio Systems).
- Handlebar audio controls with two functions on each button and standard and expanded radio functions.
- Automatic Front Camera Control (aftermarket radio must have 2nd camera input).
- keeps the factory-installed USB position and features (aftermarket radio must have rear USB ports).
Note: The OEM Handlebar Audio Controls are the only controls that remain when installing an aftermarket head unit without the iDatalink Serial Port.
Additional Features
