iDatalink Maestro KIT-MUS1 Radio Installation Kit and T-Harness for Ford Mustang Vehicles 2010 -2014
Designed for your Mustang
You really want to keep your Mustang's dash looking nice, but you have your heart set on a new touchscreen GPS receiver. Now, the KIT-MUS1 factory integration package from iDatalink provides you everything you need to put an iDatalink-ready car stereo in your dash and connect it to your Mustang. It also includes their Maestro RR adaptor, which is offered separately. The best part is that you'll keep using the Ford SYNC system, climate settings, and steering-wheel audio controls while also adding some really exciting features.
KIT-MUS1 Highlights:
- Certain Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, and Sony radios can be installed in 2010–2014 Ford Mustangs (also requires the Maestro ADS-MRR module).
- preserves the use of the SYNC system, OEM LCD display, audio controls, and climate controls on your steering wheel.
- includes a matching dash console for the Ford Mustang.
- kit includes two USB ports and customizable climate control buttons.
- select Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, and Sony receivers show engine performance statistics on touchscreens.
In the dash fit
The dash console that comes with iDatalink's KIT-MUS1 integration adapter matches the fit and quality of the dash on your Mustang. Your Mustang's LCD display will continue to show song and title information, station data, and caller ID for hands-free Bluetooth calling. The touchscreen on your receiver and the programmable buttons included in the iDatalink dash console can be used to regulate your climate. Two integrated USB ports that are compatible with your receiver are also part of this package.
Wire it.
You should first use the USB cable that comes with the iDatalink Maestro RR adapter to connect it to your PC. Then, go to www.idatalinkmaestro.com/plugin and follow the instructions there. You can begin the installation as soon as you've specified that you're using the KIT-MUS1 kit and the Maestro RR has been "flashed." As with any wiring harness or wiring adapter from , you must next solder or crimp the wiring adapter that is part of this package to the wiring of your new receiver. The KIT-MUS1 integration adapter has straightforward plug-in connectors for both the factory wiring harness of your Mustang and the iDatalink Maestro RR adaptor. Additionally, you'll receive a mono subwoofer RCA connection that you can plug right into the amplifier's subwoofer channel on your Mustang. The factory auxiliary input on Mustangs without the SYNCTM system can be connected to an auxiliary input on your receiver using the adapter's AUX IN RCA connectors.
The best feature
The touchscreen of your receiver can be used to monitor your tire pressure, battery voltage, and "door ajar" warnings once the new receiver has been fitted in your Mustang. Additionally, you can select which gauges you want to see on the screen, and when a warning light appears, you can even check the engine codes. Notes on compatibility: An iDatalink-capable car stereo and the iDatalink Maestro RR adapter are required to be used with the iDatalink KIT-MUS1 factory integration adapter (sold separately). Only Mustangs from 2010 to 2014 without a factory navigation radio can use this adaptor.
