Hertz MLCX2TW.3 Legend 2-Way Crossover (OPEN BOX)
The Hertz MLCX2TW.3 vehicle audio crossover allows you to create a bi-amplified system by connecting two amplifiers or two different channels to the crossover, allowing you to operate the woofer and tweeter independently. The huge power gain with this setup highlights all of the MLK 1650.3 Legend system's characteristics, as well as the multi-benefits. amplification's The cross-point can also be adjusted using the Mid-Contour and Hi-Contour controls, which are used to govern the woofer and tweeter cut-off frequencies, respectively. The system frequency response can be fine-tuned with these two Contour controls, each of which has a two-position choice by adjusting it to the varying acoustics of the automobiles and speaker locations. Most importantly, the listener can achieve their desired sound.
MLCX2TW.3 Features:
- Bi-amplification is offered with the MLCX2TW.3 and can be selected via a high-current rating switch with high-current carrying capabilities.
- Mid-Contour two-position adjustment for a linear mid-bass frequency response depending on the position of the woofers in the car and the listener's preferred sound.
- Hi-Contour two-position control allows you to choose the tweeter's hi-pass crossover point based on its position/angle towards the listener.
- Mid-Contour in combination with Hi-Contour allows MLCX 2 TW.3 to be used to create a two-way system with an ML 1650.3 or ML 1800.3 woofer and an ML 280.3 tweeter.
- To fine-tune the transducer's emission, there's a three-position switch for tweeter level adjustments in 2 dB stages.
- Hi-Boost control, available via a switch, improves linearity of tweeter emission above 10kHz when the tweeter is not positioned on axis with the listener.
- Bi-metallized 160V polyester film capacitors with ultra-low DF for optimum sound transparency and clean mid/high frequencies.
- For high saturation threshold of the magnetic flux and low losses on the woofer section where large transient currents are desired, air wrapped inductors made on pure copper wire with up to 1mm diameter are used.
- Wirewound resistors with high power ratings to maintain performance stability even at high operating temperatures.
- Low parasitic series inductance is achieved by using wirewound construction, which reduces losses at high frequencies, especially for resistors in series with the tweeter.
