M3 coaxial systems are purpose-engineered and built for real marine duty at a more affordable price than our maximum-performance M6 models. The M3-650X 6.5-inch coaxial speaker is based on the standard marine 6.5-inch speaker format, with a four-hole mounting pattern and a wide mounting flange. At speed or at anchor, your music comes through loud and clear thanks to the long excursion woofer design and excellent power handling. The woofer is designed to work with a large volume of air (at least 2 cu. ft. / 57 l) behind it.

Operating this coaxial system in less space will compromise its low frequency performance.  The high-frequency duties are handled by a 0.75-inch pure silk dome tweeter that has been specially treated to withstand the marine environment. Silk was chosen because of its lightness, excellent damping properties, and smooth response. Although M3-650X Coaxial Systems can be used with as little as 20 W per channel, we recommend amplifiers capable of 75-100 W of continuous power per channel for the best audio performance.
