NAD C 389 HybridDigital Amplifier

All the necessary inputs are available on the C 389 to accommodate your audio source components. These comprise two sets of RCA line-level analogue inputs, two sets of optical and two sets of coaxial digital inputs. For improved acoustic purity, the analogue inputs incorporate ultra-low-noise buffer amplifiers. Vinyl enthusiasts will value the C 389’s excellent MM phono stage because it offers perfect RIAA equalization, high overload margins, and exceptionally low noise. Without impairing bass performance, the phono section’s novel circuit eliminates the infrasonic noise that is always present during vinyl playing.

The C 389 offers an HDMI eARC port for movies and television, allowing viewers to enjoy TV audio over their high-quality speakers while regulating volume with the TV’s remote. The C 389 can act as the central component of a 2.1- or 2.2-channel system for the playback of music and movies thanks to its two subwoofer outputs. Users can adjust the crossover frequency with the BluOS app after installing the MDC2 BluOS-D to ensure a seamless transition between the subwoofers and main speakers.
The C 389’s dedicated headphone amplifier can handle high- and low-impedance studio headphones thanks to its low output impedance and very high voltage output capabilities. Additionally, the C 389 offers two-way wireless Bluetooth with Qualcomm’s AptX-HD codec support for 24-bit streaming from your smartphone or tablet as well as wireless playback through Bluetooth headphones and speakers.
