Product Descriptions

NAD CS1 Endpoint Network Streamer

The NAD CS1 Endpoint Network Streamer is a simple and inexpensive way to add audiophile-quality music streaming to any stereo or home-theater setup. Alternatively, you can pair it with a pair of powered speakers to create a modern, small-footprint music system. The CS1 supports the most popular network streaming and casting protocols, including Apple Airplay 2, Google Chromecast, DLNA, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Roon, and has Bluetooth®, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The CS1 can decode MQA recordings and play high-resolution audio up to 24-bit/192kHz.

Supported well

The CS1 Endpoint Network Streamer can play music in a variety of ways. Bluetooth® can be used to connect it to a smartphone, tablet, or computer. The CS1 supports the following Bluetooth profiles: A2DP 1.2, AVRCP 1.3, SPP, HFP, HSP, and HOGP. Wi-Fi or Ethernet will provide even better sound. Airplay 2 allows you to stream CD-quality audio from any app on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, or from an iTunes library on a Windows PC. You can cast music to the CS1 using Google Chromecast from any Cast-enabled app on a mobile device or personal computer at up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution. Subscribers to Spotify and Tidal can cue up music in their apps, then easily transfer playback to the CS1. Roon subscribers can listen to music from their digital libraries as well as streaming services that Roon supports.

Audio Enthusiast Quality

You'll enjoy what you hear regardless of how you stream or cast music to the CS1. The CS1 includes an advanced differential digital section based on Texas Instruments' PCM5141, a chip known for its extremely low noise, excellent dynamic performance, and immunity to clock jitter. The CS1 has a resolution of up to 24-bit/192kHz.

Connected well

You can wirelessly connect the CS1 to your home network or hardwire its Ethernet port to your network router or access point. The CS1 has two RCA line-level analogue outputs that can be connected to a stereo receiver, integrated amp, preamplifier, or powered speakers. You can also use the CS1's optical or coaxial output to send digital audio with up to 24-bit/192kHz resolution to powered loudspeakers with digital inputs, a home-theatre receiver, or an external DAC.
