Panamax BB-ZB1 16-Channel 2.4GHz BlueBOLT® Wireless Ethernet Gateway for SP-1000 and MD2-ZB
With Panamax's BB-ZB1 Internet gateway, you can take a huge step toward a smarter home. Its powerful wireless transmission capabilities enable a plethora of intriguing control choices via your smartphone or tablet. The BB-ZB1 Gateway connects to your home's network router through an Ethernet connection to form a wireless mesh network that can handle up to 30 Panamax MD2-ZB and Panamax SP-1000 SmartPlug AC modules (available separately). This system allows for remote management of components or devices connected to those AC outlets, along with energy monitoring. The device uses ZigBee wireless RF transmission, which operates at 2.4GHz and has 16 channels that are auto-selected. Its physical dimensions are 6-7/8"W x 1-1/2"H x 4-1/16"D.
Remote Power and Energy Management with BlueBOLT:
The Panamax BlueBOLT remote power & energy management solution allows for real-time, cloud-based control and monitoring of electrical device energy use. BlueBOLT delivers a unique combination of control and monitoring directly at the electronics' power source, from simple reboots of locked-up electronics to extensive energy tracking and scheduled conservation.
Gateway BlueBOLT BB-ZB1:
The BlueBOLT BB-ZB1 Gateway connects to your home's network router via Ethernet cable to form a wireless mesh network that can handle up to fifteen MD2-ZB SmartPlugs (299MD2ZB, available separately). The BB-ZB1 Gateway, when used in conjunction with one or more MD2-ZB SmartPlugs, allows you to control and monitor household energy usage from anywhere, at any time, using your smartphone, tablet, or computer.
Wireless Zigbee Communication:
The Panamax BlueBOLT remote power and energy management system employs Zigbee 2.4GHz/16ch RF wireless communication (802.15.4) to enable secure two-way communication between the BB-ZB1 Gateway and the MD2-ZB SmartPlugs (available separately).
Rebooting Off-Site:
The BlueBOLT BB-ZB1 Gateway enables you to remotely hard-reboot malfunctioning equipment plugged into an MD2-ZB SmartPlug (sold separately). These devices may be simply restarted with the press of a button using BlueBOLT's simple, cloud-based user interface, from any web-enabled device, virtually anywhere in the globe. You may also program network devices plugged into an MD2-ZB SmartPlug (available separately) to reboot automatically when an active Internet connection is lost, entirely simplifying the all-too-common practice of re-establishing an Internet connection by hard rebooting your router and other network devices.
Conservation Commands Scheduled:
You can set conservation orders with the Panamax BlueBOLT remote power & energy management system to eliminate wasted electricity and lower your utility expenses. Standby power (the power used by devices when they are turned off) is frequently identified as one of the most significant sources of electricity waste. BlueBOLT's planned conservation allows you to automatically turn off all electricity to electronic devices plugged into a BlueBOLT-enabled component during non-use hours, making it the ideal solution for lowering your energy costs.
Simple Installation:
BlueBOLT's cloud-based communication offers a remarkably simple setup approach. No static IP addresses or port forwarding are required to register the BB-ZB1 Gateway and begin monitoring and controlling devices plugged into your MD2-ZB SmartPlugs (available separately) from your computer, tablet, or smartphone. The BlueBOLT power and energy management system is entirely plug-and-play, with no software installation required. Simply connect the BlueBOLT BB-ZB1 Gateway to your home network's router via Ethernet and register the device at www.myBlueBOLT.com. The BlueBOLT control interface can then be accessed via your web browser on your computer, smartphone, or tablet (no separate App is available at this moment).
Network and power supply connections:
The BlueBOLT BB-ZB1 Gateway is powered by an AC power outlet and requires an Ethernet connection to your home's network router. The BB-ZB1 Gateway should only be linked to a broadband network (no dial-up or satellite).
Options for mounting:
The BlueBOLT BB-ZB1 Gateway can be mounted horizontally or vertically on a stand, shelf, or table using the provided stand. It may also be wall-mounted thanks to the keyhole slots on the back panel.
