The PMX-8DH is a wired display head controller that works with the PMX-8BB hideaway media receiver to give you access to all of the receiver's features. It has a 5" ultra bright color TFT display that is optically wet bonded to prevent dust and moisture penetration for optimal viewing even in direct sunlight. It features a water-resistant rotary encoder knob with white LED button illumination and is IPX6 rated. It also has front panel illumination and sub-controls, composite video input, and a conformal-coated PCB for elemental protection.

The PMX-8DH full-function wired display head is the ultimate controller for your digital media system, designed to work with the PMX-8BB. The unit comes with a 5" TFT display that was designed and chosen for its ability to be viewed even in direct sunlight. The screen is optically wet bonded to the bezel to keep it clean and clear by preventing dust and moisture penetration.

The water-resistant rotary encoder knob and white LED back-lit buttons provide access to the Custom GUI interface and allow you to easily adjust the panel's illumination levels and provide instant sub-level control at your fingertips. The display head also has a composite video input for video or camera systems, as well as a multi-pin DIN connector for easy connection to the hideaway unit.

The panel is water-resistant to IPX6, and the vital electronics are protected by a conformal-coated PCB circuit board. We also put the unit through 500 hours of testing under the ASTM B117 and D4329 testing standards to ensure that it can withstand years of daily use in the elements.

A compact controller

Rockford Fosgate designed the PMX-8DH wired controller to work with their PMX-8BB hide-away "black box” digital media receiver. This controller installs on your dash (or elsewhere), giving you convenient, intuitive control of the receiver's many features.

5" color TFT display

Even in direct sunlight, the ultra-bright 5" color TFT display is easy to read, and the water-resistant rotary encoder knob and illuminated white LED buttons make it simple to access and control receiver functions. In addition to convenient controls for adjusting your marine sub, the illuminated front panel includes a composite video input.

Made for marine use

The controller is water-resistant to IPX6 standards and has a conformal-coated circuit board that is resistant to spray and moisture. The screen is wet-bonded to keep dust and moisture out, which involves placing an epoxy layer between the display and the cover glass. This process seals the two together and eliminates the air gap, allowing you to use the controller in inclement weather.
