Shipping policy

The terms and conditions in this document are subject to change without notice at the sole discretion of Gibbys.

Processing and Delivery

All products are shipped in their original manufacturers cartons with appropriate packaging and are able to be shipped anywhere without concern for damage of the product due to shipping.

Due to the high value of all of our products we will be shipping all packages with a status of “Signature Required”. Please have government issued ID with proof of age of majority available if required. Someone must be home to accept and sign for all our shipments due to the value of the products for your safety and ours. The delivery will be confirmed and recorded by various technologies which may include full tracking of time, date, and location. This practice helps to protect you, the buyer, and us, the seller, as it will verify the delivery and receipt of the product at that address. A concierge may accept the delivery at your address on your behalf but you are fully responsible for that concierge getting the product to you . A signed delivery by your concierge constitutes delivery of your package to your address.

Please ensure that you provide a buzzer code for your address if applicable.

If there is no one at the destination address the delivery company will leave a notice and make 2 more attempts on subsequent days. If there is no one available to accept the delivery please call us at 866-433-4765 to be able to arrange the delivery company to deliver to a depot to be picked up by the person named on the order with identification matching the same. You are welcome to contact us prior to placing your order to discuss your delivery if you know ahead of time that these arrangements will not work for you.

Due to the high value of the items we sell, we do NOT leave any packages at the door or elsewhere. All deliveries must be received as "signature" by a person over the age of 18 years. We also do not allow our shippers to redirect any packages to a different address. All products must be delivered to the exact address shown on the approved order.

We can deliver small packages to a PO Box in certain situations based on size restrictions of Canada Post, The product must be received as “Signature" details as listed above.

Please track your shipment so you are aware of delivery timeline. We use Fed Ex for all small deliveries and Canada post in remote locations where Fed Ex does not get to and "hands off " to Canada Post for the last part of the shipment. Large items and most large TVs are Shipped with Day and Ross - under the name of "Same day Shipping"

Damages and Claims

If there is any evidence of external damage, please refuse the delivery first, then call Gibbys toll free at 1-866-696-7189. Once verified by Gibbys service department, they will mark on the bill of lading that it was refused due to shipping damage. Any shortage or damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery by calling 1-866-696-7189 and emailing us at support@gibbysesm.ca. No claims for internal damage will be accepted after 48 hours of receiving the package. IF ANY internal damage is found within 48 hours of receiving your product, please contact Gibbys Electronic Supermarket and we will issue an RA# (return authorization number). We will arrange to have the product picked up and a replacement unit sent to you at our expense. All items considered for replacement must be returned in original packaging, complete with all materials and accessories.

Shipping Cost & Delivery Times

Products are shipped as soon as the orders have been processed and the inventory is available. Orders may ship via a number of couriers based on size, amount of delivery persons required and geographic location. Should there be any adjustments or errors in the calculation of the shipping fee, we kindly ask our customers to cover the discrepancy. It's important to know that at Gibbys and on our website gibbyselectronicsupermarket.ca, delivery dates and times are provided as estimates and are subject to change. We offer the following shipping methods for most items:

  1. Day & Ross: This service is used for larger packages such as 70” or larger TVs. It doesn't offer unboxing and setup for online orders. Tracking can be done at https://dayross.com/track-shipments
  2. FEDEX: This service is used for smaller items. Tracking can be done at https://www.fedex.com.

Delivery generally takes 1 to 7 business days for most customers, with the exception of holidays and courier closures.

Additional shipping time may be required for remote locations, out-of-stock items, or products shipped directly from the manufacturer.

Special shipping arrangements are possible for the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. Customers with an address containing a PO Box, Suburban Service, General Delivery, Rural Route or other designated route which cannot accept certain courier or freight deliveries, please restrict your orders to items that you can receive at your location or provide an alternative address that verifies with your payment option chosen. Packages cannot be redirected unless the original order were to be cancelled and then reordered with an approved shipping address.

Please note: Shipping times do not include processing time. (Most in-stock items generally take 1-2 business days to process)

Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are estimates only during checkout. If the actual charges exceed the estimate, we'll contact you for approval before shipping. If there are any modifications or errors in the calculation of the shipping fee, customers will be responsible for covering the discrepancy. Certain remote locations may incur additional costs.

Free Shipping

For items with free shipping, the cost is covered by us and included in the product price, up to 7% of the product value. If the actual shipping cost exceeds 7% of the product value, we'll notify you of the additional charges before shipping. If not approved, we'll cancel the order and release any held amounts.
