On each slanting side of the strong 17 cm subwoofers, one of the 42 mm tweeter cones is situated in the centre: The Cinema Ultra RD 200-THX has a typical dipole speaker's ideal structure. The two tweeters are coupled with reversed polarity, as required by THX®, to provide a diffuse, three-dimensional soundscape. The CURD200 Cinema Ultra RD 200-THX generates this desirable diffuse sound field from as low as 1500 hertz because our cone functions in such a wide frequency range. Despite its small size and shallow total depth of only 16 centimetres, the effect speaker produces remarkable sound levels, which is critical for the greatest cinema experience. Thanks to a variety of wall-mounting solutions that includes VESA brackets, efficient installation is a piece of cake.

This is the THX Ultra2 at its most compact, flexible, and powerful

Even the THX experts were astonished and had to throw praise on us in the end: The Magnat Cinema Ultra system's LCR 100-THX front loudspeaker is the first in the world to receive the rigorous THX Ultra2 licence, despite being intended for both horizontal and vertical operation. Furthermore, because it is also one of the smallest front/center loudspeakers ever certified, one of our most essential goals has already been met: maximum set-up versatility; of course, the same can be said with the CURD200.

As a reminder, THX Ultra2 is protected by the most stringent THX home cinema requirements ever established. This isn't just about the front and effect speakers' best dispersion characteristics; it's about raw volume. Ultra2, for example, necessitates a bass intensity of 117 dB, which corresponds to nearby thunder. The subwoofers in our Cinema Ultra Sub 300-THX system easily exceed these requirements, and the system's front and rear speakers have been designed to assure level stability and minimum distortion. With the Cinema Ultra system, a compelling action picture with exceptional bass ranges seems eerily genuine. You will be able to hear and feel every detail - we guarantee it!

Optimal Engineering for Maximum Performance

Nonetheless, this required a significant amount of technological effort. For example, with a diameter of 42 millimetres, we have built what is likely the world's largest tweeter cone. Only then could the stringent standards for large band width and distortion-free operation be implemented. One of these world-record tweeters is installed in the Cinema Ultra 100-THX front loudspeaker, while two are installed in the Cinema CURD200 Ultra RD 200-THX dipole effect speakers! The 17 cm subwoofer with aluminum-ceramic diaphragm (used in the front and effect speakers) and the 32 cm high-performance bass of the subwoofer, on the other hand are new advancements with low-distortion attributes that set new benchmarks. So you can hear it right away: even at very high volumes, the acoustic patterns are stress-free, detailed, and transparent. That's why stereo music sounds brilliant with Cinema Ultra.

The Cinema Ultra enclosures have a "stealth appearance" with aesthetically inconspicuous surfaces. The speakers in a home theatre should draw attention by generating the best sound, not by having gleaming surfaces. As a result, we avoided reflective surfaces and paid special attention to the details, such as our Magnat metal logos, which have a subtle brushed titanium finish rather than a flashy aluminium finish.

Ideal Representation of Space

The Cinema Ultra's incredible versatility extends to Dolby Atmos recordings as well. Dolby Atmos is a huge step toward flawless 3D surround sound and is built on a large number of additional virtual channels. With the Cinema Ultra AEH 400-Atmos, we've created a tiny coaxial loudspeaker that follows Dolby's criteria for dispersion characteristics to the point. Our "basic" THX Ultra2 system becomes a Dolby Atmos setup with the addition of four of these add-on loudspeakers and the sound is truly incredible: with the correct type of recording, spatial depth and height become palpable.
