Built-in dual subwoofer for deep bass sound

The Sony HT-A3000 soundbar has a powerful built-in dual subwoofer (2) in the centre—so you can enjoy deep bass sound with minimal equipment cluttering up your living space.

X-Balanced Speaker Unit

The built-in dual subwoofer and front speakers feature an X-Balanced Speaker Unit. The unique rectangular shape of these speakers maximizes the diaphragm area for more punchy bass. It also reduces driver excursion while maintaining sound pressure, resulting in less distortion and greater vocal clarity.

Clearer voice

The deeper the bass sound, the more the speaker diaphragm moves. This can cause an effect called phase modulation distortion when a full-range diaphragm needs to simultaneously reproduce higher frequencies. Sony’s unique signal processing technology compensates for this effect for clearer dialogue and more localized sound. The improvements in the modulated waveform enhance clarity and help prevent vocal distortion.

Extended bass

It takes a lot of power to accurately reproduce low bass frequencies and there’s often a risk of distortion (A). To combat this, the soundbar uses Sony’s unique signal processing technology to deliver dynamic extended bass, at any volume level (B).

Upscale your digital music in real time

Using Edge-AI (Artificial Intelligence), DSEE Extreme™ (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) upscales compressed digital music files in real time. Dynamically recognizing instrumentation, musical genres and individual elements of each song, such as vocals or interludes, it restores the high-range sound lost in compression for a richer, more complete listening experience.

Even more immersion with BRAVIA Acoustic Center Sync

When connected to a BRAVIA TV with Acoustic Centre Sync, both the soundbar and the TV become the centre speaker in your home cinema system. Furthermore, connecting the soundbar with optional wireless rear speakers, the TV speaker plays the centre channel role with your soundbar as part of the 360 Spatial Sound Mapping setup. Sony SA-SW5 proprietary technology, the ? (Sigma) Magnetic Circuit enables deep, powerful bass by maximizing the magnetic force that drives the voice coil. By contrast, conventionally shaped circuits let much of this magnetic force leak away.

Separated Notch Edge

Another Sony proprietary technology, Separated Notch Edge improves vertical amplitude symmetry, an essential for clear sound quality. It achieves this using concentric cuts on the edge, which help to control the stress inside and outside the edge of the diaphragm.
