NAD's C 389 BluOS HybridDigital DAC amplifier offers audiophile-class performance, flexible connectivity choices, class-leading upgradability and unbeatable pricing. The Modular Design Construction future-proofing technology from NAD was introduced in 2006 and enables owners of MDC-capable components to add additional capabilities by inserting an extension module into an MDC slot on the rear panel. MDC2, a brand-new design that launched in 2021, enables two-way communication between the host component and extension module. The MDC2 BluOS-D from NAD is the brand's first MDC2 module and includes Dirac Live room correction in addition to BluOS high-res multi-room streaming.
The MDC2 BluOS-D can be wired or wirelessly connected to your home network. The C 389 BluOS can be included in a whole-home music system with up to 64 zones when MDC2 BluOS-D is installed. The BluOS program, which is available for Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows allows users to play music from their preferred streaming services or from their personal music archives. More than 20 providers, including those that provide lossless and high-res music, such as Amazon Music HD, Deezer, Idagio, Qobuz, and Tidal are supported with the BluOS Controller app. The MDC2 BluOS-D, like all BluOS-capable devices, includes MQA decoding and rendering capabilities for Tidal high-res streaming.
