Blustream PRO88HBT100CS Custom Pro 8 × 8 HDBaseT CSC Matrix – 100 m
This Blustream PRO88HBT100CS 2 U rack-mountable matrix routes eight 4K 60 Hz HDMI sources to eight remote displays over HDBaseT—up to 100 m on a single Cat cable—while also offering four local HDMI outputs. Installers gain the flexibility to mix 4K and 1080p screens, manage audio independently, and control the entire system from any web browser or leading control platform.
Distribute 4K HDR up to 100 m—without compromising bandwidth
The PRO88HBT100CS uses HDBaseT Class A technology and a 24 V PoC power rail, so a single Cat 6/6A cable can carry uncompressed HDMI 2.0 signals, bidirectional IR, and power out to 100 m. When the source is 4K 60 Hz 4:4:4, the link remains rock-solid to 70 m—ideal for projectors or wall-mounted TVs at the far end of a residence or commercial venue.
CSC down-scaling solves the mixed-display headache
Older 1080p TVs no longer hold back the entire system. The matrix’s colour space conversion (CSC) engine can down-scale each HDBaseT output independently, allowing legacy screens to show a clean 1080p feed while 4K panels still receive full-resolution UHD. There is no need for external scalers or time-consuming EDID workarounds.
Audio where it is needed—no extra hardware
Each HDMI input is paired with a 3.5 mm stereo jack, and the matrix breaks out audio on every zone with line-level pre-amp volume control. Whether the install calls for distributed background music or local soundbars, routing and gain management happen inside the chassis, streamlining rack space and cabling.
Installer-friendly control and monitoring
Configuration takes minutes via the built-in web interface—no proprietary software required. For day-to-day operation, the RJ-45 port exposes TCP/IP, the DB-9 delivers two-way RS-232, and nine IR inputs handle legacy components. Pre-written drivers for Control4, Crestron, RTI, Savant, and other ecosystems minimise programming time.
Frequently asked questions
-
How far can the matrix send a 1080p signal?
Full-bandwidth 1080p 60 Hz travels the entire 100 m run over Cat 6/6A, giving plenty of headroom for large homes or commercial floors.
-
Do the HDBaseT outputs supply power to receivers?
Yes. The 24 V PoC line powers compatible Blustream receivers such as the HEX100CS-RX, eliminating separate power bricks behind displays.
-
Are the four HDMI outputs mirrored or assignable?
They mirror the first four HDBaseT zones. Installers often use them for local confidence monitors, AVR feeds, or in-rack signal distribution.
-
Which audio formats can be de-embedded?
The matrix passes through all HDMI audio formats up to Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA, then outputs stereo PCM on the line-level jacks for easy integration with amplifiers or distributed audio systems.
-
Will the unit integrate with my existing control system?
Most likely. Blustream provides certified drivers for major platforms including Control4, Crestron, Elan, Extron, Savant, RTI, URC, and more. Custom IP or RS-232 commands can also be used.
