Kicker 51KJPL7T122 12" Single 2-Ohm Subwoofer Enclosure for Jeep Wrangler-Specific Vehicles
Kicker 51KJPL7T122 gives Jeep Wrangler owners a vehicle-specific way to add powerful bass without giving up valuable cabin space. This single 12-inch enclosure mounts to the tailgate and houses a KICKER Solo-Baric L7T square subwoofer, delivering up to 600 watts RMS of recommended power.
Built Specifically for Your Jeep Wrangler
Designed for select Jeep Wrangler models, the enclosure fits the Jeep Wrangler JL from 2018–2026 and the Jeep Wrangler JK from 2007–2018. Its custom tailgate-mount design keeps the enclosure positioned against the inner tailgate, helping retain legroom and usable cabin space.
The factory subwoofer mounted on the passenger side needs to be removed to provide clearance. Replacement non-sub trim panels are available through online retailers or MOPAR.
Powerful 12-Inch L7T Subwoofer
At the heart of the Kicker 51KJPL7T122 is a single front-firing 12-inch KICKER Solo-Baric L7T square subwoofer with a 2-ohm impedance. Why use a square design? More cone area allows the subwoofer to move more air, with up to 20% more cone area than a conventional round subwoofer.
The L7T combines a large voice coil and magnet with a next-level top-plate design, heat management system, and signature cone stitching. Together, these features are designed to provide deep bass and reliable performance in a slim subwoofer design.
Weather-Resistant Enclosure
The enclosure uses a heavy-duty, weather-resistant roto-molded construction designed for the demands of a Jeep Wrangler. Its formed design fits specifically against the inner tailgate and includes the custom mounting hardware needed for its tailgate-mount design.
With a single front-firing subwoofer and grille, the enclosure keeps the bass pointed into the cabin while making efficient use of the available space.
Amp Requirements and Performance
The Kicker 51KJPL7T122 requires an amplifier and is designed to handle 600 watts RMS, with a recommended amplifier power range of 300–600 watts RMS. Its frequency response is rated from 25–100 Hz, giving the enclosure a dedicated range for producing deep, impactful bass.
The single 2-ohm terminal also provides the connection point for the enclosure and its built-in Solo-Baric L7T subwoofer.
Compact Tailgate-Mount Design
Measuring 30-7/16 inches wide, 13-7/16 inches high, and 9 inches deep, the enclosure is formed around the available space inside the Wrangler's tailgate area. Instead of taking up valuable floor or seating space, it uses the tailgate as its mounting location.
That makes it a practical choice when you want serious low-end performance without turning the back of your Wrangler into a giant speaker box.
Fits Select Jeep Wrangler Models
The enclosure is designed specifically for:
- Jeep Wrangler JL (2018–2026)
- Jeep Wrangler JK (2007–2018)
The factory passenger-side subwoofer must be removed to gain the necessary clearance. Replacement non-sub trim panels are available through online retailers or MOPAR.
If you're looking to bring deeper, harder-hitting bass to a compatible Wrangler while keeping your cabin space available, the Kicker 51KJPL7T122 combines a vehicle-specific fit, 12-inch Solo-Baric L7T subwoofer, weather-resistant enclosure, and tailgate-mounted design in one package.
