Premium In-Wall Speaker Design

The Paradigm CI ELITE E80-IW features a 2-driver, 2-way design built around a die-cast aluminum baffle and chassis. The SHOCK-MOUNT™ Isolation Mounting System helps separate the speaker from the mounting surface, while the rigid aluminum construction provides strength for the speaker assembly.

Its white, paintable grille and black speaker give the speaker a subtle appearance once placed in the wall. Magnetically attached grilles use neodymium magnets to hold them firmly in place.

8" X-PAL™ Mid/Bass Driver

The 8" X-PAL™ pure-aluminum mid/bass driver combines lightweight stiffness with consistency to support accurate, smooth sound. Its 1.5" high-temperature voice coil motor is designed for greater power handling and reduced power compression.

The driver also uses an Active Ridge Technology (ART™) surround, which is overmolded directly onto the cone. This design allows greater excursion and provides a 3dB gain in distortion-free output compared with drivers using standard surrounds.

X-PAL™ Tweeter Technology

High frequencies are handled by a 1" X-PAL™ dome tweeter with ferro-fluid damping and cooling. The tweeter incorporates Perforated Phase-Aligning (PPA™) technology, which protects the pure-aluminum dome while helping manage out-of-phase frequencies for extended high-frequency detail.

Reduced Edge Diffraction (RED™) Technology is also built into the design. The irregular edges of the tweeter housing and its off-center placement help reduce interference compared with a conventional tweeter housing mounted directly to the cone.
