TOA M-864D Digital Stereo Mixer
The M-864D is a four-unit rack-mountable digital stereo mixer with eight monoaural mic/line input channels, seven stereo input channels, four bus-assignable monoaural output channels, and six output channels, including one stereo recording output channel. It has digital signal processing features such an equaliser, an automatic stereo input mute function, automatic resonance control (ARC(*1)), as well as feedback suppressor and feedback suppressor functions. Advanced acoustic correction can be carried out automatically without the need for acoustic measuring equipment. The M-864D may be used without a PC thanks to its 14 analogue volume faders and 14 different function setting buttons. However, a connected PC or an optional remote control panel can also be used to operate it. It can be fixed to a component rack that meets EIA standards. By evaluating the intrinsic acoustic properties of an architectural space and automatically creating an appropriate equalisation curve, the Automatic Resonance Control function enhances sound clarity. Version 2.4.0 of the PC settings program is used. This setting program updates the M-864D's firmware. The M-864D Digital Audio Mixer from TOA is visualized and controlled via a remote iPad GUI app. This app shows and controls audio levels, preset memory selection, channel on/off state, and input/output channel faders. For subsequent recall, settings can be stored as memory presets. For the M-864D to communicate with the iPad, it must be linked to a wireless router.
