Klipsch Launches Next-Gen Reference Speaker Series with Dramatic Sound Upgrades for 2023
Klipsch has launched an updated version of its popular Reference speaker series. The new series, which includes ten models, is the most significant upgrade since the original series was introduced and incorporates the latest audio advancements from Klipsch engineers. Klipsch is a renowned audio company known for producing high-quality, dynamic speakers since its founding by Paul Klipsch in the late 1940s and this series is no exception. The speakers feature a larger Tractrix horn for improved coverage and directivity control, spun-copper TCP woofers for smoother response, as well as improved crossover integration for more accuracy and transparency.
Key Features:
- Horn-loaded, detailed and dynamic Klipsch sound
- Advanced acoustics: 90º x 90º Tractrix horns.
- Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) aluminum tweeters for more detail
- Spun-copper Thermoformed Crystalline Polymer (TCP) woofers for smoother response, accuracy and transparency
- Built-in up-firing speakers for Dolby Atmos sound (R-605FA)
- Made with high-quality wood materials
Klipsch Reference Series Next-Gen: What’s improved, what’s new, and what’s the difference?
The updated series features three floorstanding speakers (R-605FA Dolby Atmos-enabled, R-800F and R-600F), two bookshelf speakers (R-50M and R-40M), two center channels (R-50C and R-30C), one Dolby Atmos elevation speaker (R-40SA), and two powered subwoofers (R-121SW and R-101SW). The speakers come in modern, elegant cabinet designs with enhanced bracing, a black scratch-resistant wood-grain vinyl finish, metallic-coated binding posts, and discrete Dolby Atmos connections for refined elevation speaker integration.
The new series offers bigger and better sound, targeting the more affordable end of Klipsch’s range of passive speaker designs. These speakers offer a range of well though out features, including the brand’s famous horn-loaded, detailed, dynamic sound with advanced acoustics, linear travel suspension aluminum tweeters, and built-in up-firing speakers for Dolby Atmos sound. These speakers provide high-quality and powerful home audio, making them a suitable choice for those seeking precise and robust sound. The models come equipped with 90º x 90º Tractrix horns for advanced acoustics, Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) aluminum tweeters for greater detail, and spun-copper Thermoformed Crystalline Polymer (TCP) woofers with steeper cones for improved accuracy and transparency.
